The Resideo Honeywell Home PROSiXGB is a wireless glassbreak detector that is intended for use with control panels that support PROSiX-Series devices. The PROSiXGB glassbreak detector is compatible with the ProSeries PROA7, ProSeries PROA7C, ProSeries Canada PROA7CN, ProSeries PROA7PLUS, ProSeries PROA7PLUSC or ProSeries Canada PROA7PLUSCN all-in-one wireless touchscreen control panels. The PROSiXGB glassbreak detector senses the sound of broken glass within the 25' foot detection range.
It is recommended that the PROSiXGB glassbreak is installed; at a mounting height of at least 6.5 feet (2 m) off the ground, at least 3.3 feet (1 m) from forced air ducts, and at least 3.3 feet (1 m) from sirens or bells greater than 5 cm (2 inches) in diameter. Remember to pick a mounting location within clear view of the protected glass and between the protected glass and any heavy window coverings. When heavey window coverings are present, the PROSiXGB detector can be mounted on the window frame. Avoid mounting the detector on the same wall as the protected glass, on free-standing posts or pillars, or in rooms with noisy equipment (air compressors, bells, power tools, etc.), if this equipment is operated when the detector is armed.
Before mounting the device permanently, conduct a sensor test to verify adequate signal strength and adjust the device location and orientation as necessary. Turn the top of the detector 15 degrees counter-clockwise and seperate the mounting bracket. The rear tamper plate MUST be mounted to a stud, solid wood, or with a robust wall anchor. Next enroll the device by setting the controller in programming mode and removing the battery tab to activate the device and begin the enrollment process. Once enrolled in a system, the detector cannot be used with another controller until it is removed from the current controller.
Next, you should adjust the detector sensitivity setting in the controller programming mode. The detector has three LEDs which are visible when the unit is mounted. Green 1 LED indicates device enrollment and tamper status. The Red and Green 2 LEDs provide information on detector status during Test Mode. The Green 2 LED indicates events and the Red LED indicates alarms.
Lastly, test the PROSiXGB after installation and at least once a year. Test Mode can be activated remotely from the Controller or on-site with an FG-701 glassbreak simulator, only when the system is disarmed.
