Honeywell 5820L Product Description:
The Honeywell 5820L is a single-zone, slim-line, wireless door and window contact transmitter. It is ideal for casement and double-hung windows. The Honeywell 5820L is works with any Honeywell wireless 5800-Series compatible control panel. The 5820L provides perimeter door/window defense for your business or home security. The 5820L provides a single zone of protection, and installs easily on doors or windows with the included mounting hardware or double-sided adhesive tape.
The 5820L has its own unique serial number permanently assigned during manufacture. You must enroll the transmitter's serial number in the control panel before it will operate in the system. During programming of the control panel, 5820L transmitters must be enrolled as Input Type 3 (Supervised RF), Loop 1. The transmitter is powered by one AAA Lithium (or alkaline) battery that is easily replaced when a low battery condition is indicated by the control panel.
With a front and back-case tamper the 5820L is tamper protected using the same switch. The front-case tamper is always enabled and adding the third screw enables the back-case tamper. To mount the transmitter, the magnet must be located adjacent to the unit's left side. However, the 5820L may be installed in any direction, as long as the relationship of the unit to the magnet is maintained. Before mounting the transitter and magnet permanently using the double-back tape or mounting screws, conduct a Go/No Go test to verify adequate signal strength and reorient or relocate the transmitter if necessary.
